Comments about Waring Pro Professional CUL Approved Food Slicer - FS800:
The food guard cannot be removed to facilitate cleaning. After slicing meat it's a real problem to sanitize. The blades RPM's and motor strength leave a bit to be desired. The machine bogs down slicing bologna! Its overall appearance is very "I can slice well" but its actual performance is "weak".

Bought it to slice old smithfield ham very thin - usually takes forever. This made it a quick and easy task. Also have been slicing bread, salami, and other meats. As soon as the apples come it, we will try it on that for apple pies. This was well worth the price - wish I had done it years earlier. The only thing I would change is that is was very hard to find something that would fit to act as a catch tray for the cut food - cutting boards were to thick and cookie trays were too big.
