I am completely satisfied with this product. It is easy to use. Heats up quickly. Easy to clean, and easy to store. I've made quite a few things in my GranPappy deep fryer in the past few weeks including french fries, onion rings, breaded shrimp and scallops, fried chicken, chinese dumplings, potato chips, apple fritters, doughnuts, and more. Everything turned out perfect and evenly cooked. When I am done cooking I let the oil cool, strain it and use it several more times. The unit is very easy to clean. When the unit has cooled and is clean I pop the lid back on and store it under my cabinet. Basic and simple. I wasn't interested in any of the more "advanced" fry cookers with all the extra parts, filters, etc. Sometimes products are best left basic and simple. I think this is one of those products.

I use it to fry everything, I am afraid of greese on the stove burner. It is portable and can be used outside at cookouts or whatever.

It does pull alot of current and sometimes causes breakers to trip. I would like to see an indicator light on so if it goes out your greese won't get too cool before you fix the problem.
