Great snow cone maker. It is very fast and the flakes were consistent just like you would get at a vendor.
I would recommend this unit to anyone.
The only con that I have, is, that it is a little bit noisy.

I bought this for my daughter's birthday party, but we use it almost everyday. It is so easy to use, my 7 year old daughter can work this by herself.

I bought this for a church picnic/carnival. We usually rent a commercial snow cone machine for $50 each year, but decided to try this. It worked just fine - of course it was much slower than the heavy duty, steel commercial one we usually rent. But if we can get several uses out of this small, plastic version, we've saved lots of money. It shaved the ice perfectly - just took a lot more time. It would be good for home use as well.

I use this snowcone maker all the time! I've tried others but was always disappointed. I decided to spend a little more money and get a better one. I'm so glad I did! It's a little messy if you're not careful but I'm very happy with this and use it constantly

I love to cook and have kitchen toys as well. This machine is not heavy duty, but will make for fun either with children or adults. We use it more for making adult beverages than we do for snow cones. Makes perfect ice and keeps it well for a good period of time.

Don't waste your money!
I purchased this item not long ago and was excited to use it. I only used it a few times. It was very noisy. Then it started to make grinding sounds as it tried to turn. The plastic wheel and the removable plastic gear ring gets out of mesh A LOT causing it to make horribly loud noises. Finally it stopped shaving ice. I am VERY disappointed.

Rather than scooping the ice, you can place 3 small cups in the machine to catch the ice and then they're ready to add the syrup.

The product is a bit expensive for it to be plastic however, with how happy it made our kids and the uses we'll get out of it with Birthday Parties and such, I believe it's a really great value.
