I use the product mainly for toasted sandwiches. It has worked well for the other tasks I've used it for (re-heating, broiling, etc). The only downside is that this truly is a counter-top oven, not a toaster, so the features that you would find on a toaster, such as fixed settings for dark / light are more arbitrary since the unit uses a dial timer for everything.

Had purchased another brand toaster oven and it was junk although it cost about what the Kitchenaid one does. This is the greatest toaster oven ever. I love it. I hate to heat my oven for just rolls or one small item and this is perfect. Heats up fast and cooks my food perfectly.
