Very small help in pouring. I had hoped it would help contain ingredients while the mixer is operating, but it won't. It is not made to completely surround the top of the bowl. I could not tell that from the photo. I would not have bought this, had I known.

It is well made and works ok but just doesn't fit my KitchenAid Stand mixer as well as I thought it would. It moves around very easily.
