I love this little ice shaver! It makes great Asian ices, Italian ices, and granitas. I've tried with the little ice cups that come with the shaver and regular ice cubes, they both work but it's definitely much better with the ice cups as it's a block of ice vs. cubes. I wish, however, that they sold extra ice cup containers separately. Would definitely recommend, great little product!

I love this ice shaver. It's nice and quiet and very easy to use. The one downside I found is that the area where a bowl or sno-cone should fit is VERY narrow and not adjustable or removable or OPEN. The previous shaver I had did not have the narrow sides on it (which limits the size of the container you use) and I was able to shave as much or as little as I wanted. Hopefully, the next version of this shaver will have this area just OPEN and not enclosed.
