This is my first breadmaker and I'm not that impressed. Getting a consistent loaf is difficult and even at the lowest crust setting it seems a little overbaked. Ingredients often need more mixing than the mixer gives it and the loafs sometimes spill way over. Getting a loaf that tastes and looks good is near impossible. Also we've had it a year and many times when we plug it in to use, it will not start.
Comments about Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker:
The directions are so easy to follow and the bread comes out delicious. Much better than the last bread maker I had.
Comments about Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker:
One of the slickest bread makers out there. Also good for making jams.

Comments about Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker:
I've never owned a bread maker before. I decided to buy this one because it seemed to be the only one that offered a gluten free, wheat free cycle which is necessary for my mother's diet. I also needed a breadmaker with a large capacity as I also have three small children. This bread maker comes with a wonderful receipe book. I've made several of the receipes in the book including one of the gluten free receipes. The gluten free bread was the best I've ever tasted. I have been delighted with the results. The crusts are always evenly browned and the consistency has been perfect. An alarm goes off to let you know when to remove the kneading paddle after the last knead cycle and there is an alarm which lets you know that the bread is ready. It also lets you know when to add your mix-ins. If you do not remove the bread immediately after it finishes baking the bread machine will hold it in a warm cycle for an hour. I have not tried leaving the bread in the machine yet as I've always been home for the finished product. However, I can tell you that the finished bread, when removed from the pan immediately, is perfect. With the kneading paddle removed the bread slides out of the pan easily. I have never had to scrape the sides of the pan to integrate flour or dough during the kneading cycles. I am extremely pleased with the ease of use and the end product. I would recommend the Cusinart CBK 200 bread machine to anyone. The machine is also very easy to clean. I've made about a bread a day since I got the machine. I always take the pan out of the machine to load it with the ingredients. Therefore, I have not had anything spill into the machine except for some flour and a few crumbs one day when I was working a little to fast for myself. I cleaned that up easily with a damp sponge. Two wipes and it was clean as a whistle as the inside surface seems to be of a non stick nature. I have no complaints about this machine. I love it. The only thing I would change is the color. I prefer white to stainless steel.
Comments about Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker:
This machine makes an oblong loaf, but the single paddle doesn't adequately mix the dough in the corners, so you have to open the lid and stir during the mixing cycle. Therefore, you can't add the ingredients, set the machine and leave. Also, the gluten-free cycle only allows for a 1 1/2 or 2 pound loaf and I would like the option to make a 1 lb. loaf...gluten free bread gets stale very, very quickly. I've made two loaves already, both were a flop. But that could be my fault as I am trying to bake gluten free and figure out adjustments for high altitude, so it may be me and not the machine. For those of you baking gluten free, I used my old machine with regular bread settings and the gluten free loaves came out fine, even at high altitude. My old machine had the tall loaf and the single paddle always mixed all the flour and I never had to stir it during the cycle. I wish I had gotten a machine without the oblong loaf.

Comments about Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker:
I purchased this breadmaker as a gift for my brother who is allergic to wheat and corn. He was interested in making his own gluten free bread. He indicated that the machine makes wonderful bread in texture and flavor. The only drawback that he voiced was difficulty with ease of programming. But, he indicated that this was no different than any other breadmaker.
Comments about Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker:
I find that this breadmaker makes excellent bread. My only complaints are that the user interface is rather primitive and when kneading the machine is quite loud.
Comments about Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker:
I USE IT 4 TIMES A WEEK. GOOD BREAD ALWAYS COMES OUT OF THIS MACHINE. NO CHEMICALS. WHATEVER YOU PUT IN, COMES OUT FRESH.
Comments about Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker:
Wonderful bread with a crisp crust and light fluffy inside.

The reminder beeps are hard to hear so need to keep eye on clock if you are adding something during the proses.

Comments about Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker:
At first I didn't like it, cause I used the boxed bread mix and this mashine doesn't like it as it turns out. But it really makes great breads if you follow all the instruction for breadmaking from the manual. My whole family likes the breads I make with this mashine. The delay timer is great. Just this Friday I used the whole extended one (12 hours), but was a bit afraid if it would work, because when I used it the first time the little paddle came out and the dough didn't mix, but I was home and pushed down the paddle, and the bread came out nicely. I made sure on Friday morning that the paddle was secure in place. And when I came home in the evening a nice smelling/ready home made bread awaited us for dinner. I also like the beeper reminding you that you can take the paddle out if you like. As I wasn't home on Friday to do this, I was a bit afraid if I could get the paddle out of the bread, but surprise, the bread came out just fine and the paddle was still in the breadpan. Great.

I have only used it a couple of times but have enjoyed it. I like the variety of breads you can make. Do not understand "Mix-in" and "Pause" signal sounds.

The unit looks nice and performs well. It is noisy, but does the job as described. Nice book and recipes. Love the gluten free option!
Comments about Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker:
Baking full size loafs are perfect, but when baking half size loafs (1 lb) the top crust is never done when set to medium crust. When set to Dark Crust setting the top is just done but the bottom crust is very dark/burned.
Comments about Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker:
I've been having some problems with loafs not turning out good. Sometimes they flop, other times they are too brown, even on the lightest setting. I think that maybe I'm just used to my old machine and I have to do more experimenting. I've been using it more for making pizza dough lately, which turns out great.
Comments about Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker:
Works great! No issues other than a little loud while mixing.
