This machine is sensational if used properly, which is super easy to do! The only cons I've ever read about it were made by people who weren't using it properly; for example, complaints about the loud noise it makes when running it over the fringe on a rug! Common sense dictates that using the wand with the brush on the end is the best way to clean the fringes.... (Oy!) It must be frustrating for the manufacturers to receive such feedback. Bottom line is that, if it's not working like the all-time greatest dream-clean machine, call or write to Dyson for suggestions, because it MUST be that you're not using certain features optimally!!!
