Comments about Liebherr 30 in Freestanding Refrigerator/Freezer - CS-1600/CS-1601:
Long live the golden rule of form following function! The truly great industrial design of this unit cleverly holds much more than one would imagine this size refrigerator could. If you don't want to go the built-in route, this unit provides a neat alternative. Its use of height is awesome, nicely fitting into the space vacated by the useless over-the-fridge-cabinets. Our Liebherr fills that space with a very usable rack that horizontally stacks a dozen bottles of beer/wine/seltzer. At 5' 5", I can open the door and easily reach the top shelves without the need for a stool. And what can one say about the "Lego-looking" handles? You can't believe how cool these are. After moving our Liebherr into its space, we put off remodeling the kitchen--it made THAT MUCH of a difference. Oh yes, did I mention how neat the wrapped stainless looks on ALL sides rather than black faux leather side panels? I hope the company will consider making additional kitchen appliances.

Best refrigerator we found for limited space. Counter depth is great because items don't get lost in the back of the frig, less food waste. Only 15 or so cu ft, but has more usable space than old, boxy 18.5 cu ft top freezer frig. Lots of freezer space, much more than old frig. Freezer very cold, owners guide suggests not eating ice cream directly from freezer because it is so cold it could cause burns. Freezer temp 0 degrees. No negatives so far, have been using it about 2 weeks.
