Looking for a great looking range that not everyone else has? This range is very well made, heavy duty, gorgeous finish (black) and beautifully different from the other "professional" type ranges made for us regular cooks. Everyone who has visited my home comments on the how good looking the range is. Elegant and timeless, this range will never "date" your kitchen. From an operational standpoint, the burners are smooth and accurate. The oven, like ALL gas stoves, can be inconsistent (nothing a oven thermometer won't cure) so if you're that much of a stickler for equal temperature distribution- go with the dual fuel electric oven/gas range- which is a bit more pricey but better for the professional level cook who may not be happy with any gas oven at any price. You wont be disappointed if design and style are equally as important as fuction.

I can't get things to bake evenly in this oven. Cookie bottoms are usually burned. Same with brownies and cakes--the bottom is "well-done" when the top is still wet. Should I try the convection?

The Bertazzoni looks great but has poor operating design. The fan system pumps hot air out at waist level, overheating the kitchen and home. The backguard become hazardously hot and can burn fingers. [...]

Fulfills the dreams of a serious cook. Starting with its good looks, the range draws you in to try cooking like never before. It provides both the power for searing or quickly heating large pots of water for pasta, yet has the low flame needed for gentle simmering and delicate sauces.

The full cast grid on the top makes is easy to move post around while remaining solidly supported. Performs aw well as those other expensive brands that are twice the price.

Cooking on this range compared to the "normal" household type is as comparing the mini-van to driving a Lamborghini.

I like the fact that it has nothing electronic. A simple way to make fire in the kitchen is all a good chef needs. The only thing that bothered me was that the gas regulator installation instructions were unclear and the default setting was LP gas. Maual could be better.
