I use these plates everyday. They are heavy and pretty. Sadly, they chip easily. Please know that if you drop one it will break. I certainly wish they were more durable. I had hoped to use these for a very long time when I purchased them. Now I think I may not keep up my collection and I will replace them with something more durable in the future.
