I love this dinnerware. I bought a 45 piece set and a year later, I bought 4 more place settings from this website. They are great for everyday or formal dinners. I put them in the dishwasher all the time without a problem. You can dress a table casually or formally with any colors/flowers you choose and these dishes will fit right in and look fabulous. I chose these over other Mikasa sets because they were on sale and I am more than satisfied!!!

I purchased the 45 piece set plus eight mugs and eight cereal bowls. The 12 ounce mugs are elegant, and I use them at the table instead of glasses. The cereal bowls look good and are quite large and deep, but the soup bowls that come with the set are also good for cereal. Perhaps I should have ordered the berry bowls instead of the cereal bowls; the 45 piece set does not come with dessert bowls, and the cereal bowls are rather large for small portions of dessert.

this has been a lesson to me to NEVER purchase something without touching a sample. i love the 45 piece set and ASSUMMED the cereal bowl would be sized appropriately relative to the other pieces. WRONG! i have trouble fitting this bowl in the dishwasher and stacking it in my cupboard.
