I bought the product because it was beautiful and matched my kitchen/dining room which I had painted red 2 years earlier. Red seems to be popular, but there were no pretty dishes. These fit the bill, but since they are fine china, I have to be careful. I've chipped two. I have Mikasa Monet, and it is chip resistant. It's an adjustment to remember it might chip. I use it everyday anyway. I love it! By the way, you have the wrong picture.
