This is a superb knife that will last a lifetime. The blade will take on and hold a very sharp edge, and the unique design of the pakka wood handle makes chopping very comfortable. Not only is this a workhorse in the kitchen, but it just looks amazing as well. I have just one minor quibble about this knife, which doesn't detract at all from it's usefulness, and that is that the tang only extends half way into the handle. This actually makes the knife lighter and easier to use, even though I prefer full-tang blades. The knife is an incredible value and worth every penny.
