While there is not a lot to say about a knife block (other than "it holds knives"), this one is really quite nice. It has a solid heft to it, so it doesn't move around on my counter, and has ample room for all of the knives I use regularly (bread, chef's, santoku, paring), and even those that I don't use as much (sharpening steel, scissors, boning, steak knives). I am very pleased with the purchase.
