I purchased two prior to this order. I like them very much. One stopped working, I believe it was used and the store had placed back on the shelf. The other one is still working.
I purchased two (2) this time, with one as a backup if they are discontinued by the manufacturer. I now have two working plus one as a back up. The price is very reasonable.

Comments about Proctor Silex 1.0L Electric Kettle:

Works as expected, boils fairly swiftly and stows easily after use. There were two minor issues. First, the filter incert was damaged during shipping but since I don't need it does not matter. Second, the power cord can appear to incerted securely into the kettel but still not connect. It's a minor quirk easily overcome and it could very well be confined to my unit.
