While originally reluctant, I am completely sold on this tea pot. I have purchased additional units for my grandchildren, who love herbal tea and hot chocolate but whose parents do not want them using the stove to heat water. Great solution!

the best water kettle ever and if you like the water to come to a rapid boil just keep the lid up and then put it down when the water is how you like it (of course this will override the boil away feature)

Boil water very quickly, and do not make noise. I would definitely buy this product again. In addition, it is lighter than my previous water kettle and I love the handle it gave a nice smooth grip, and do not slip from your hand like some other kettles.
