This timer is so simple and easy to use. Press once to set and once to start. It may sound crazy, but it's so much simpler than using another kitchen timer. And, the beeping is not as loud and obnoxious as many other kitchen timers, so it does not disturb anyone around you.
I have many French Press pots and the timer clips on to all them, not just Bodum.
