I use the mower to cut my neighbors lawn about 1/3 of an acre and she constantly changes her mind how high to cut and I cut not replace parts on personal mower XMark 21 cut which is 27 years old so I bought this to cut her grass for the hieght adjusment and this mower was rated #1 by consumer reports as the bestWe have an Insight Lawnboy and it has a jerky movement as it is not as SMOOTH of engaging to move forward as the neighbors 22" Selfpaced reardrive Toro muchling mower I use right door which looks like a golf course upon cutting her grass when finished the neighbors are extremely jealous of the results I could not believe how nice the lawnboy performed [...] A definte negative find was where the selfpace movement is it is DEFINITE PINCH POINT vs the Toro is not //////////The Lawnboy has a better way attaching the rear bagger more user friendly doesn't take three handsThe mower once started did a superb job of cutting grass that was way to high to mow and never needed to bag at all outstanding results as mower never bogged out at all way to much to grass at one time I am pleased with the performance of what i have seenas far the throttle cable being mis configured that is the way my luck goes it seems though it still needs a slight more tweaking to to be perfect Sincerely. This mower starts even easier than the John Deere that it replaced.(And we that that was a great mower)
Love the self adjusting speed. Our last mower was a rear-wheel drive. This mower is easier to control and doesn't "take off" if you slip or press down on the handle.

Comments about Lawn Boy 10797 Insight® Platinum Series Honda® GCV 160 Sens-a-Speed 21" Push Mower with Blade Control System:

After almost 20 years of owning a John Deere that I didn't like but absolutely refused to break or wear out, I had narrowed my choices down to the Honda or the Lawn Boy Platinum series. I really liked the idea of the Sens-A-Speed self propel and it had the Honda engine and besides I like green. I love it. Being retired and enjoying keeping a lawn looking good I appreciate the clean even cut I get with the Lawn Boy. So far I've used it about 6 times and am very pleased with the job it does. The best part is the Sens-A-Speed's operation. It couldn't be easier, almost fun to use. All controls are easy to use and seem to be robust. Time will tell how well this mower holds up but the full 5 year warrantee is as good as any I've seen. The down side seems to be in the details. Although the shipping container was unscathed there were several scratches on the handle, obviously from the factory, and the large Lawn Boy Platinum Series decal was on crooked and only partially attached. I was able to remove it and reapply it as it should have been done in the first place. Just a quality control issue that shouldn't be on a [$]lawn mower. The other issue was the wonderfully easy to start Honda engine didn't want to start! This turned out to be a simple matter of adjusting the throttle cable. As it came from the factory the choke wasn't activated when the throttle was in the choke position. After readjusting the cable the engine runs fine. All in all, I'm extremely pleased with this mower and actually look forward to using it.
