The MT6 metal locator finds both ferrous and nonferrous metal, and indicates depths up to 6 inches (152 mm) deep.

Product Features

Find rebar, metal pipes, conduit, and plumbing before:
- Drilling into slabs for anchor bolts
- Coring through floors for wire bundles
- Cutting openings in concrete walls
- Drilling to add rebar to slab joints
- Estimating a demolition job – Find nails in used lumber before sawing, planing, or sanding
It automatically differentiates between magnetic metal (such as rebar) and nonmagnetic metal (such as copper pipe).
The LCD graphics are easy to read and easy to interpret. The screen pinpoints the location of metal objects to the nearest inch, and depth to the nearest 1/2 inch.
Made to withstand daily jobsite use.

After learning curve it is easy to use to find rebar in concrete. Depth of rebar is fairly close to what it says it will be. It is sensitive to outside interference, so following directions is important. I bought 2 more for my crews.
