Comments about Stanley Tools 1-3/8 Stud Finder - 47-400:
It stands up when you slowly run over the wall because it recognizes the nails that are in the studs but it is small and time consuming. When I was running it over my ceiling it automatically stood up so i could not tell if it recognized a nail in the stud. Also not good if surface is not smoothe. Hopefully plasta is not more than 1/2 inch thick either it is a small guy but dependable truly.
