1st off - you can use smoke pellets to add the old fashion flavor and it works excellent.
2ndly I owned my old one for 11 years before the starter finally gave out and used it very regularly.

I do miss the handles being wood - I haven't used the plastic handles so I will have to wait and see if it is ok.

Initially, we were very impressed with this grill. The construction is excellent: heavy metal body; sturdy, well plated grill surface; really good portability.

However, the ignitor quit the second day of use; VERY annoying and disappointing.

Would like to see a little Deeper grilling area, with a hinged lid and a warming tray. I love it, and would buy another one in a heart beat!

We have had 8 charcoalgrills and 3 of them (all different sizes) are in our backyard right now...all weber! and swore never to get a gas grill but we wanted something we could easily take to the park, beach, picnic and would cool down fast for when we were ready to go without having to dump out the ashes. We have this same bbq in charcoal and love it also for small meals.

This grill is great. Used mostly for camping and hunting trips, its easy to setup, start. Makes cooking in the field, and clean up an easy chore. I've been real pleased with this product.
