the big green egg is a great grill but the nest and eggmates are a necessity in order to grill. These things are expensive but there was a special which made the items more reasonable. I wish I could find more accessories for the big green egg. These items are hard to find online.

very low maintnance, easy to adjust temperature and produces the best tasting and most tender meats of any grill I've ever owned

Egg Mates work great once installed. The mates did not come with an instuction manual, but one was available from the internet. The hinge also had to me modified with pliers so that the mates would swing down properly.
