I installed 10 of these for all my ceiling fans. I've had to replace 4 of them in the past 4 years (not cheap). Replacing receivers in fan bases on tall ceilings not fun. Batteries in transmitter require regular changing.
When power fails and fan operating, these devices default to lights ON - very annoying to have all ceiling fan lights come on after a power failure (especially in the middle of the night). I use the slide switch to keep units from coming on unexpectedly.
Controllers are not CFL compatible due to dimming design.
These controllers will work if you have limited wiring to fan (2 wires).
Think hard before purchasing these if you live in a rural area with frequent power outages.
