The quality of construction is actually better than the manufacturer's original equipment. Make certain that the 18" cable will fit comfortably between the cut-out on the top of the sink and the strainer (before ordering, simulate the path of the cable with a metal tape measure). The tail-pipe on this unit may be a different size from what is currently installed; therefore, it is prudent to have a standby PVC reducer and union in order to insure proper fit with the waste lines.
