I made the mistake of not noting that the dispenser was suited for two-inch counter tops. Mine turned out to be thicker--I should have checked--so the dispenser did not fit. The pipe that connects the plunger with the soap bottle is too short. I have not been able to find a longer pipe as it needs to be of a special design for this dispenser. I was able to use a combination of new dispenser parts with the old dispenser parts to make it work, but it is wobbly above the counter, and the soap tube does not reach to the bottom of the plastic bottle. i was wrong to make an assumption that the pipe would fit all counters.
