The Dutch oven is the original slow cooker that dates back over two centuries. Lodge Dutch ovens were garnered a "Best Buy" by Cook's Illustrated magazine. All of the Dutch ovens come with cast iron lids. Lodge offers two types of Dutch ovens that consist of a loop handle or a bail handle. It's really hard to find something to go into a gift basket that everyone will like but I came pretty close to pleasing everyone this year. It seems that there are a hundred ways to use this pot - from camping, to frying freshly caught fish, to making chili!
