The griddle you have dreamed about. Double burner reversible griddle that is flat on one side and ribbed on the other with a slope into a generous grease gutter. Logic seasoned and ready to use.

Lodge is the ONLY cast iron cookware I have encountered that I would recommend. It's heavy stuff, it takes seasoning great, and the variety in unrivaled. This grill pan has all of those great qualities; especially the deep grease catch, perfect for bacon. My favorite application is leaving this pan on high heat for as long as possible, then searing any thick cut rib-eye or filet. They finish in the oven and taste as good as they look with those beautiful deep grill marks. The flat top is perfect for just about any thing you can imagine, pancakes to sautes. If you are familiar with cast iron, you know how easy it is to clean while hot (just like deglazing), and how much easier it gets after you cook enough fat on it.

I purchased this because I have an electric stove that has a center burner between the two burners on the left side of my stovetop. The first thing I noticed right out of the box there was rust on the griddle. It comes pre-seasoned, and I guess this caused it to rust. I used it that night for marinated pork chops. This is a tool that you don't need to heat on high, it gets hot quick and holds the heat. I used the grill side, what a disaster to clean. I dont think I will ever use that side again. To bad too. The next morning I used it for french toast and wow, awesome, and eggs. Reminds me of the old diners and the big griddles that they use. I just scrape this side, wipe with a paper towel and season with oil. VERY HEAVY,I keep it on my stovetop. I think this is a great tool. Not so sure this one is the best though.

We have used the Lodge Pro Grid many times on our gas cooktop. My wife does the cooking and I do the cleaning. I've found by cleaning it when its still WARM seems to work best. Heavy little devil.
