I read a review of this skillet in Cook's Illustrated and all of their comments have proven true. It is "pre-seasoned" but in the beginning food was sticking pretty badly. However, after a few uses, it is getting better and better. And it cleans easily with a stiff brush and hot water (no soap). Then I just reheat it a little to be sure it's completely dry and rub it with some oil. I love the way food browns in this pan. I am going to buy another!
