I am trying to move away from teflon. Cast iron cooks nicely and evenly and has no chemical leach into my food (except iron, which is a good thing). This pan is nice because of the handle!!! It's heavy and hard to pick up and maneuver. It is preseasoned, but still needs some seasoning to get it to be really easy to clean.
