The bowl is great for big meals that could fit on a plate but need to be contained in a bowl. If you make meals that have a lot of sauce like seafood pasta, or lots of gravy like a stew or gumbo, this is the perfect bowl to eat from. Its not too big, so it doesn't look like the main serving dish.
