Comments about Baldwin Residential Flush Bolt:
This looks like a typical first-rat Baldwin item, but there were two issues:
- the bolt is not quite flat lengthwise, so when installed on the flat edge of a door, it protrudes slightly at one end or the other or it's below the surface in the middle. Not a deal-breaker, but geez, it's a Baldwin and should be at least a flat as a typical door edge
- the internal sliding steel bolt has a "tail" that is longer than necessary. This means that the deep part of the mortise needs to be longer than necessary and it doesn't leave a lot of wood for the mounting screw at that end of the bolt.
Comments about Baldwin Residential Flush Bolt:
These locks replaced the old style slide bolts that screwed onto the interior of french doors. They provide a professional look, and hold the door more securily.
