Suddenly having a toilet seat cover slam down has been a long-time source of annoyance. This cover moves slowly and quietly. These features make it a great plus. Only regret is that I was not aware of this type of a feature sooner. Highly recommend it to everyone.

The Champion Slow Close Elongated Seat with Cover was very easy to install. The slow close action works just as advertised not only for the seat but also for the cover. No more banging toilet seat and lids! Additionally, you can remove the seat and lid from the bowl for cleaning.

Probably a bit fancier than the average toilet seat, but nice to have one that doesn't collapse with a loud bang

Very glad I ordered this. Other toilets in the house have soft-close seats, but not the American Standard Champion we'd installed a couple of years earlier. Was happy to see the white matched the toilet color perfectly. Would never NOT have a soft-close seat again!

Comments about American Standard Champion® Slow Close Elongated Seat w/ Cover - 5325.010:
I had bought one of these seats a few months ago and loved it so much I bought 3 more. The mechanism works great, it's an easy install, and there are no more slammed seats in the house!
The only complaint I would have on this seat is that if the toilet you are installing on has holes that are slightly wider or narrower than what the seat is made for then the seat may need to be psuhed into position and won't close automatically unless you push the seat down about half way. Then again, this could just be my installation and tightening the screws out of perfect center.
