Air valve enables installer to reduce pre-charge pressure to match pressure switch setting. Tank is factory pre-charged to 40 PSI. Universal mounting bracket may be used with any jet pump. Rugged tank body is constructed of heavy-gauge steel. Tank exterior features durable, baked-on finish to provide maximum corrosion resistance. A replaceable air/water separator of rugged, seamless vinyl prevents ``water logging" of the tank. This helps to prolong pump life. Separator (not shown) is constructed of FDA-approved materials and will not cause taste or odor water problems. Well water never touches metal in tank. Certified to ANSI/NSF Standard 61. Jet pump mounting bracket included. Pre-charged ``Rated" 120 gallon tank. 24" diameter x 37"H, 1-1/4" discharge tapping.

Its steel vs. (mostly) plastic

Comments about Flotec 120 Gallon Pressure Tank - FP7125-08:

I haven't bought yet, but its taken days of research to discover that the reason for the BIG price differential (Flotec is lower) is that this is a STEEL tank, unlike most of the fiberglass competition. Our last steel tank lasted well over 20 yrs, and this one has a replaceable bladder, so I am beginning to think that it isn't worth paying two to three times more for plastic.
