I needed something safe that I can leave on. I don't worry about getting burned or starting a fire. The space needs to be somewhat confined in order for it to be noticeable. My cube is small so, I do notice the difference when it is not on. I have had it for 2 years and never had a problem.

I was hoping that these would help a little, and I thought that being under a desk, they would help. But the secretaries can't tell the difference of them being on or off. Even tried leaving them on 24 hours...still no help. Too bad...I have 5 of them.

This is a very good, energy efficient product for use in an office environment. The heater does not get warm enough to burn, but does provide sufficient heat to make the knee-hole of a desk comfortable. We purchased several of these in conjunction with the foot warmers to help in an office building that is poorly insulated and where heat does not circulate to all cubicles. This product has helped substantially with the "heat wars", where those located near wall heaters are too warm, while those located far from the wall heaters are too cold.
