The only fault with this product is that it does not keep the coffee hot. Once the coffee is poured into the mug it cools down quickly. I did not have this problem with my previous electric purculator which was a Faberware.

With all the fancy-schmanzy coffee makers out there, I was surprised that Cuisinart made a simple old-fashioned electric percolator. I got rid of my oversized, overpriced and mediocre drip coffee maker and purchased this Cuisinart PCR-12. It takes a couple of extra minutes in the morning to finish perking, but it is well worth it. What a great coffee smell and the coffee is hot and rich. It is well made and simple to clean, fill and operate...just plug it in. If you wanted to have it ready to drink in the morning you could plug it into a wall timer at night and have hot aromatic coffee ready when you wake up.
