This is great I don't miss the glass caraffe at all! The coffee stays hot even after the four hour timer has turned off and it tastes great right down to the last cup. The unit fits on the counter well and is easy to use. I am really happy with it!

Comments about Cuisinart DCC-2000 Coffee On Demand 12-Cup Coffeemaker:

We got rid of a reliable Mr. Coffee, to do away with the glass pots. The Cuisinart worked well the first 3-4 months, then the clock started acting up--losing time, displaying wrong time. If you have one, you know you can't change the time by just accidentally bumping into it. You have to hold a button in for a number of seconds, then do a drill.
After numerous clock resets to correct time, and waking up with the coffee NOT being ready--we awoke and found the entire electronics had gone out. No manual brew, no anything.

Now I'm missing my old Mr. Coffee unit like crazy!

Nice alternative to carafe

Comments about Cuisinart DCC-2000 Coffee On Demand 12-Cup Coffeemaker:

We wanted this coffee maker after buying one for my in-laws. I love the fact that it doesn't have a carafe as I am a bonafide klutz and have broken a few in my life. I also like the fact that I don't have to worry about my toddler touching the hot coffee. I have read some complaints that the gauge wasn't accurate and we have not had that problem. It's easy to use and clean. The water fill line is just a little hard to see while you're filling the reservoir. It's a little bulky on the countertop but not too much bigger than a regular coffee maker. There's also no way to adjust the temperature, but the standard setting is fine.
