Comments about Summit 3.6 cu. ft. Platinum Chest Freezer - FC46:

The platinum finish matches well with our stainless-steel appliances. We have it in our kitchen-greatroom, so it was important to look good out in the open. This is a much better solution for moderate extra freezer space then those giant white (and ugly) chest freezers that are typically placed in a garage or basement.

For 3.6 cu-ft, it suprisingly holds alot of food. We freeze extra meat and lots of bread for those far out trips to the specialty bakeries.

The freezer is pretty quiet, about as loud as the fridge. You will notice it most when the compressor shuts off, which gives a little clunk. Other than that, you hardly ever think of it. Not being an ultra-quiet machine is the only reason I did not give the unit a perfect 5-stars.

Overall, we are very satisfied.
