We bought this dehumidifier for use in the basement of our brand new home. We have been very pleased with this product after having done quite a bit of research on features and cost. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to purchase something to control basement humidity. It is energy efficient and we love that as well.

After our basement flooded and the humidity was running over 80% we began to search the internet for a dehumidifier. We read every review we could find. What was amazing was that one person would love a certain dehumidifier and the next would say it was the worse they ever used. So when we found out that Danby was coming out this year with a 65 qt size, we thought we would try it. We love how easy it is to roll around and believe me it does what it's suppose to. In 2 days the humidity came down to between 40 to 45% humidity. And it has stayed under 50% for the entire time we've used it. We have had it for about a month now. We dump the water container about 3 times a day, but you can hook it up to a hose if you wish. The down side is it'a a little nosier then I like. You can carry on a conversation with it running, but I would not like it in my living area, or bedroom. It also puts out more heat then they said. The directions said it would raise the temp slightly in the room, it's more like 10 degrees higher in our basement now. If that doesn't bother you, then you will love this unit, because it does lower your humidity, and your air will feel much dryer.

Seems to work well, but noisier than expected (putting a weight on top helps). Removing and replacing water pan a bit awkward, but does not spill. Need to reset humidity level and fan speed each time water pan replaced. Fan seems to keep running even when humidity level reached.
