I'm using the ac in a home office I'm building in our garage. The room is 265sf and so far it's cooled it down in about 5-10 min on hot days. I installed in through a wall instead of a window. The install directions don't refer to this kind of install at all and I had to figure out to take off the bottom flange and push it out more than I was originally able. This is important because there are two small tubes coming out the bottom that need to be uncovered because they drain the moisture extracted from the room. The lack of install options and technical info is what I liked least of this purchase.

[...] It opened easily and is designed to store the a/c off season. However, our installation is for all year in the screened porch we are converting to a sun room. The filter and dehumidifier is a perfect feature because we keep two parrots in the room, and the a/c removes feather dust. The a/c noise is low so we have no issues with sound. I read the directions for use, and they are well written and straightforward.

Service & Delivery comments:

At first, I was notified that it would not ship until May, two months after I'd ordered it. I called and explained we were building a sun porch and needed to have it as soon as possible. The young lady said she would look into it. I got an email from someone else who offered no hope, but that same day I got via email a confirmation of SHIPMENT. It confirms my belief there is no substitute for talking to a live person to get good service. The a/c arrived within three days, in pristine condition. I was most impressed with the customer service, as being courteous, understanding and responsive.

Pros: I'm very happy with the performance of the air conditioner and its ability to keep the air at a set temperature. I also like the "Ionizer/Electrostatic Clean Air Filtration" feature. I always leave it enabled.

Cons: The remote sensor uses IR (infrared), not RF (radio frequency), so it must be placed in direct line of site of the air conditioner for it to work. Also, the remote sensing feature automatically disables itself after a while, I guess to conserve battery power of the remote. I understand why they did it, but I have to constantly re-enable it several times per day, which I find annoying. I wish it had an option to disable this behavior.

My main gripe however is that the A/C's fan is much louder than I expected. Even at the lowest speed, I find it to be quite loud, so I always run it on low.

Overall: I find this to be a good air conditioner, but I wish the fan weren't so noisy! All-in-all, I'm satisfied with the A/C's performance. I'd recommend it only if the noise doesn't bother you.

Service & Delivery comments:

Delivery was delayed over a week, I guess because it wasn't in stock, but it arrived in good condition and I was satisfied. Customer service immediately left me a voice mail saying there was an issue with product availability but I never got around to calling them back, so I don't hold it against them. I appreciated the call!

We live in central Texas where 100 degree heat and 99% humidity rule the summer. This compact unit has performed admirably in cooling the small store on our Alpaca Farm. It installed easily and sips electricity while producing a large flow of cool clean air.

This AC is easy to install. It blows cold air through over 12 feet. It's loud, but not louder than a small-room window AC. It cooled a room 250 Sq feet to 76 when outside was 92 degrees. We got fairly even temperature in the room since we have a ceiling fan there. Have not been able to see our this month bill, cannot tell if it's more energy efficient.

I use this product for my living room. I love the use of the remote when sitting down watching tv. After it cools the room close to where I want it, I use my remote to run it only during commercials so that I don't have to listen to it run while watching any programs.
