      It tops off a beautiful toilet. I had to replace the seat on my first Toto toilet after a couple of years. This is the one I would buy again but if either of the current seats break as quickly I might not. They are kind of expensive.

            A friend told me to look at Toto toilets and thank goodness she did. This toilet is the best and the seat is so great. We have an infant who is particularly sensative to any bathroom noise. So with the soft close toilet seat we no longer have to wait with abaited breath to see if we woke him up. Thank you toto toilet.

            For [$], I would have expected a more robust design. Seat is plastic and feels a little weak if sitting on the lid (I'm 160lbs). Steep curve inward may keep liquid off the seat, but isn't especially comfortable. You do need to be able to screw the seat in from the top on the Aquia II though, so I couldn't find another compatible seat at my home improvement shop, otherwise I would have replaced it. In the end, I'm living with it but wouldn't buy again.

            Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                Perhaps I need time to adjust to the overall height difference of this new water closet or it is the seat itself. The old water closet was not the ADA height. In time I will determine the between the two.
