Stays clean, well packed and shipped direct to the house. Less expensive through Homeclick versus a showroom. Quiet flush, easy to install, and water efficient. No problems after several weeks of use! Very satisfied with this over a 1.28gpf toilet. Well worth the money.

As an Eco sensitive designer, I look for viable and sensitive solutions that fit average user budgets. This toilet fits that criteria! After seeing it at a Trade show in Chicago, I was thoroughly impressed with the design which allows this toilet to use a meer 1 gal per flush. Our household was using a 1.6 with a 1/2 gal water jug in the tank to reduce each flush to 1.1 gpf but this didn't always yield the cleanest results. We've had this toilet for 1 month, which is why it's a 4 not a 5 star, and we're happy with its performance and the kids think the Cyclone flushing system is neat! In order to get the full 1gpf, the user has to hold the lever until the deed is done, which I don't find to be a big inconvenience. In turn, if the lever is released immediately, it doesn't use the full 1 gal which is great for light flushing! Even more water savings!

The county where I live in offers a rebate for high-efficiency toilet upgrades. I could care less about the brand but my husband was obsessed with Toto as it was highly recommended by his brother. Unfortunately, Toto isn't carried by major retailers in our area and there was only a handful of Toto models qualified for the rebate. We initially planned on getting the Aquia dual flush but we found out from our research that "streaking" is a major problem. It was also quite expensive - at least $200 more than this model. I'm glad we found Toto Drake here at Home Click because it's $50 cheaper here than other online retailers! Anyway, we had a hard time deciding whether to buy this model since we couldn't find reviews anywhere and my husband kept worrying that 1.0 gpf might not be up to the job. Here's the verdict:

INSTALLATION: My husband said it was pretty easy but he had to make a couple trips to the hardware store because he bought the wrong-size wax ring and hose. So make sure you measure everything once you take your old toilet off. There's no manual in the box but one could be downloaded from the Toto USA website.

PERFORMANCE - We've been using the toilet for only 2 days but we've been very impressed so far. Definitely better than the one that came with our house. The flush isn't super silent but not loud either. The suction is also much better than our old one. It utilizes the cyclone flush which swirls water around the sides of the bowl, thereby cleaning it. We both thought that 1 gallon of water would be too little to do big jobs but we were mistaken! We got the SS114 soft close seat (sold separately) and we think it's great. No more toilet seat slamming accidentally. This toilet is also taller than our old one and we're loving it.

Long story short, we love this Toto toilet and we highly recommend it! It's so much better than dual-flush systems.
