This was difficult to find this mainly because of poor descriptions and incompetent operators. I'm replacing a three speed Craftmade ceiling fan switch with black knurled nut and chain. Had to call in to find out if the chain and nut were black for 280-B108FB. The answer they gave me on the phone was, "the housing is black", which is not logical nor was it true. In fact the chain and nut are black, the housing is half black and half turquoise. They also stated that the switch was on/off only, which is also not true. I called Craftmade who told me all these Craftmade 280-B108 switches are for three speed fans with an off, which IS true. Label your wires which can be found on the back of your current broken switch. Each plug is labeled ("L", "1", "2", and "3"). So, a client dusted her kitchen fan. Afterward it startle to wobble. When I got to her house I saw what was going on - wobble, wobble. She told me she had dusted the fan and it got all screwed up. I asked if the metal weight came off. With a perplexed look she said something came down but I thought it was a chunk of stuff off the fan. We got it balance with a clothespin until the balancing kit arrived. All is now well..
