Comments about PLC Lighting Corona 3 Compact Fluorescent Bathroom Wall Scone in Satin Nickel:

This elegant light with CFL bulbs does an outstanding job of diffusing light and presenting an attractive illumination field.

Electronic ballasts are 3 individual high-speed units, completely silent in operation and very nice. Sockets are firm and strong. Bulbs were easy to find; I went with Philips Warm White 5.25" bulbs, they do have a very nice 2700K glow, were easy to find locally.

Sheet-metal pieces were slightly off in manufacture and assembly. Top band has an 0.5mm indent which was easy to spot on inspection but will not be real noticeable once in place. There was a matching "tight spot" in the top slot which I ground out with a saber saw and dremel tool. One end flap was bent 0.3mm too long, also pinching the glass slot. I enlarged the holes slightly for the top piece to line up with the flap end, was easy to do. Both modifications took under 30 minutes and the fixture now works perfect.

I would expect a good contractor to simply "make it work" and move on; the glass would be a tight fit but you only change these bulbs every 5-8 years. A DIY'er would likely opt to fuss with it, and I've very happy with how easily it "tunes up". I'm sure Homeclick and PLC would not have hesitated to swap it for a new unit had I asked; I didn't only because I knew for me it was an easy fix.

Would be 5 stars; took off one for the (easy) fix.
