This fan features an energy star rating and features UltraGreen technology, making it one of the most efficient fans on the market. Featuring 80 CFM capabilities at only <.3 sones, this fan moves a tremendous amount of air and steam at a noise level that is quieter than a standard refrigerator running. The Nutone Ultra fan is UltraSilent, making it the ideal fan for any home. In conforming to the standards of many ventilation requirements, requiring continuous ventilation, this fan features UltraSmart technology. This means the fan is always running, silently, at a low CFM providing constant ventilation. When the time comes that more CFM is needed, such as during a shower, a quick flip of a switch sets the fan to the max CFM. After a preset amount of time passes, the fan switches back to the low CFM.
