      I for one think that the Napolean Gas Log set (I have the 24")looks just like the picture on the box. It looks like a real wood fire burning in my fireplace.

        Easy to install and set up. Obviously it is easy to use. The flame is certainly not as pictured on the box or literature... unless you make the air mixture so rich that there is carboning. It works well, can't complain.

        Service and delivery comments:

        Delivery within 2-3wks. Drop shipped from the factory. Was in great shape. no complaints.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

            I've installed it, but it hasn't turned cold enough to use it since then. The flame pattern definitely looks more authentic than anything else I saw at the local fire shops. It doesn't put out quite as much heat as I had anticipated.

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              does this log set come with the variable remote or is it a extra item that has to be purchased?

                A:

                The valve offered with this unit is a millivolt valve, and can be used with a remote control; however is is not a varilable control valve' which means the height of the flame cannot be adjusted remotly. The correct remote that will control the on and off function of the unit is F45.
