Sometimes the chain that runs through the glass to turn the light on and off rubs against the glass and it makes it difficult to pull. We have a Monte Carlo-brand remote control light device installed that makes this a non-issue now.

    For the price paid, this product serves it's purpose very well. I was a little disappointed that the fan's existing finish cap didn't fit and I was forced to use the clear one that came with the kit. Still, very easy to install and functions well. We use it with a remote we already had for the fan.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
