K-3837 Questions and Answers
I've installed many toilets in my day and have never had a problem with a leak between the tank and the base until I bought the Devonshire. Putting it together and taking it apart and putting it together five times didn't cure the problem. Kohler sent me a new gasket set and the problem still exists.
Is it me or is it the toilet?

Since you're experienced in the installation process it's likely an issue with that specific toilet. Call Kohler customer service explain the issue and see how they can resolve it for you.
