Using scissors, cut and harvest the herbs down the stem.
Wash the herbs
Dunk the freshly cut herbs in cold water. Swish them around to clean them thoroughly.
Dry the herbs
Shake the herbs out to dry them as much as possible. Alternatively, you can use a salad spinner to dry the herbs.
Separate leaves from stem
Remove the leaves from the main stem, leaving only herbs on smaller stems.
Chop the herbs
Use a knife to chop the herbs. You can also use a food processor, but do not over process the herbs. You want bigger pieces, not a paste.
Place herbs in freezer bags
Put your chopped herbs into freezer bags. Press the bags flat before sealing and be sure to label them.
Store in freezer
Store your herbs in the freezer. They should last a good 6 months.
