Two end pieces were broken during shipment but were readily replaced. Instructions were wrong resulting in a second and third request for proper parts which, as it turned out, were not needed. By ignoring the wrong instructions, assembly was relatively easy. I was impressed how well the parts fit and the resulting very sturdy construction. It looks great too and is the right proportion for our 50" TV. I found it necessary to drill a hole in the back of the center shelf to route wiring to components on that shelf. The space behind the two doors is too narrow to hold some other of my components. Waiting for replacement parts was frustrating but now that the console is in use, I am very happy with it.
